The “Threads of Tomorrow” exhibition transcends the mere presentation of artworks; it is a journey that leads us from the past towards the future. With the participation of 69 contemporary artists from various parts of the world, this exhibition not only celebrates human creativity but also recognizes the importance of manual labor throughout history. The 148 exhibited works bear witness to the human capacity to transform natural fibers, simple materials, and textile ornaments into complex expressions of ideas and emotions, honoring the artisanal tradition that has brought us to this point.
The 64 artists from 22 different nationalities selected for this exhibition not only enrich our consensus on artistic expression and cultural perspective but also expand our understanding of nature and its representation in the arts. This reflective approach challenges established conventions, allowing for diverse interpretations and representations of the world. It awakens human consciousness to the source of inspiration that the capacity to imagine represents, encouraging the audience to reflect on their relationship with the world and recognize the importance of art as a profound connection with the intrinsic essence of humanity.
The forty-three (43) artists, of different nationalities, present in this exhibition have accomplished their mission and are in agreement with the teachings of the two thinkers, since they have used their sensitive reality to introduce to the beholder the sensorial perceptions of a reality emancipated from rules and theories, free and absorbed by inspiration. Proposing to the beholder, to recognize the pure essence of the works presented and spontaneously offer himself to his own feeling without pre-established judgments, so that he can then reach his true virtue and transcend his physical form, understanding that the encounter of the individual with the artistic artifact is a moment of intellectual beauty and pleasure of the senses.
The 23 (twenty-three) artworks of textile and mixed art selected for the exhibition, "Contrasting Shapes", and idealized by artists from 10 (ten) nationalities with distinct cultures not only elucidate the very spontaneity of the human being in manipulating the elements of the world, but, once again, makes us reflect on the need to build our desires and rethink everything around us. Whether through narratives of real or fictional scenes, when offered by the artist, the artistic object comes to life by being observed and manipulated creatively in our imaginary.
